Good quality tape but I thought it was stainless steel or some other metal but it's plastic. There is too much information above as the measurement is in centimeters and below is in inches. So if you use inches (like me) you only need to use one side of the ribbon!

Judging by the sound of newbies saying it was "too hard to read with all the numbers and stuff" above, this just goes to prove the carpenters' motto true is; "Do your best and caulk the rest!" Because the tape measure has both metric and standard scales it is difficult to use for most measuring tasks compared to other tape measures. In my opinion a tape measure would be much better if it had measurements on both sides of the tape. A really big front hook can be both good and bad.
