I like the fact that this thermostat opens gradually instead of all at once when the engine temperature is slightly above normal.

At 70,000km and changing the coolant I decided to fit new hoses and a thermostat and am very happy with the difference. Until temp will fluctuate where now it stays constant. I would recommend anytime.

Perfect for my 2000 Saab 9-3. The engine warms up to normal operating temperature quickly enough to satisfy the diagnostic computer and reliably maintains that temperature. Without hesitation. It's great to have some working warmth during the coldest time of the year.

After some research I decided on this thermostat. It works and seems very high quality and sturdy so I trust it. And at less than $10, it's cheap insurance, and I change it every time I flush the coolant.

Last summer while towing my boat my car started to overheat. After 140,000 miles I decided to change the thermostat and coolant. This thermostat fits perfectly and is said to let more coolant through than the standard. There will be a test next summer but it already seems to be helping.

This item works great, looks great too and looks a lot better than the standard I replaced which was yellowish bronze looking. Chrome definitely makes it look like a high-end product. . Since I installed this in my car, my car now warms up faster. I say I'll buy it, it looks better than standard thermostats, it also costs about the same. SuperStat. :)

I have never had a problem with Stant products. The last one was in my car for about eight years, the gasket broke so I decided to replace the thermostat as well. Be warned if you buy this and they provide a gasket or seal to ensure it is correct. I completely disassembled my car to find that the gasket was wrong. Other than that, I'm happy with my purchase.

Works great in my Saab 9000. The car warms up quicker and as the thermostat is constantly adjusting the flow based on the engine temperature (variable between minimum open and full flow) it is the stroke is smooth and there is no noticeable drop when the motor reaches 195 degrees. It just hits and stays. You could call it a mechanical smart thermostat. Better than original parts. Gasket is not included, so be sure to order one.
