This printer is PERFECT for use with Maid POS software from Alexandria Computers, LLC. POSMaid is great for small businesses or craft fairs. It's affordable and very functional. Allows all monetary transactions and counts. It is ideal for entry-level use. The inventory control is more than I expected. So far I haven't found any problems that I couldn't solve. Like it so far I didn't know I could even print text documents and images (in low to medium quality in black and white, mind you) directly from regular programs on my computer without special testing software, of course after installing the driver. All you have to do is find out what page size and margins etc are available in the manual and on the web. Some programs like Excel are a bit complex. This is a fantastic product, works as expected with lots of options and the ability to customize settings is very handy. Everything is installed correctly and works despite the lack of a dedicated POS server! Being able to reduce receipt size was a big deal for us. The only problem we had was that we couldn't completely uninstall our old drivers on our end, but once we performed a clean uninstall everything worked like a dream.
