I got tired of the markers drying out when I drew guides to cut sheet metal for body repairs. I didn't see the need for a thin line, but it's actually much more precise than the bleed lines a marker makes. You can probably find a cheaper tool made abroad, but the American tools I inherited don't like sharing tool chest space. I also like how the tip can be changed and stored in the handle for safer transport and storage.

Fast delivery of measuring and marking tools

There's no doubt that this is the Starrett original. Sharp knurling, collet with fine thread and fine straight tip. In addition, it has a very good balance and weight, which should be a pleasure. I can also replace the tip with the harder carbon steel tip used on the Bx. I've read complaints that the point falls out. I have found that it takes a lot of force to fully tighten. I assume this is done to prevent oscillation between point and handle. I'm always happy to have a good tool.

Pointed good for scribers

This pocket scriber works great. It's sharp and hard and fits in my pocket. I also sometimes use it to line up holes when printing a piece of hardware, but I usually use it to mark my pieces of wood for pre-drilling holes or chisel lines. My only complaint is that tipping doesn't always stay as secure as I would like. I tighten it with my hands as best I can, but sometimes it falls out. I like to put the tip back in the pen and keep it in my apron pocket when I'm not using it and it's fallen…

Starrett quality through and through

If you ever have to choose between Starrett and something else, do yourself a favor and choose Starrett. I have to admit that in the past I've been tempted to save $10-$20 by going with an alternative brand, but each time I've regretted it. I bought this item to draw extremely precise lines in dovetail joints. boxing I didn't need the specially hardened tips found in some versions of this tool since I worked exclusively on wood, but I did need the 2β…ž inch extensions in this version so I could…

It is very beautiful and highly recommended

It is very beautiful and highly recommended. I like the larger size compared to the 70A, it's not too big, it's like a pen and the 70A is more like a pencil. The marker is very strong, the tip has no play and is very centered, the length is great. It has good balance and a solid feel but isn't heavy. The tip can be quickly and easily removed and stored in the scriber, which tightens to secure and protect the tip. The only downside and why I'm only giving 4 stars is because the tool doesn't have
