💾 High-speed 4 Bay USB 3.0 eSATA to SATA Standalone Duplicator Dock for HDD Hard Drives Review

We've been using this for over a year now and it's working perfectly in production work at a financial institution. We clone hard drives weekly, and if we run a PC, we update them dozens of times a day. Our only gripe is the speed, it could be faster especially since we use SSDs and will beep when it's done. We don't stand above it, waiting for the process to complete and receiving calls because an alarm goes off in the computer room, annoying neighboring staff.

This device is too expensive. I originally bought it to wipe hard drives but the description doesn't tell you the following: 1. Even though it's 4 bays, you can only wipe 1 drive at a time2. Not all discs can run Secure Erase3. No progress bar4. When the secure erase is complete, a siren will sound and you must be nearby to press a button to turn it off. Secure Erase took a long time. I erased a 500GB hard drive and it took over 24 hours while using software (DoD 32x) took about 4 hours.

I use one of these at work. We manage over 2000 workstations. We use this all the time to create a new image and copy it. One bay was dead when I started, we still use it. Soon the entire squad died. We've been using it for 13 months. I called Startech and found out it has a two year warranty. I sent them proof of purchase, they sent an RMA. Two weeks later I had a new blockage. Very fast. It gets along with its task, but the buttons are attached to the display so that the display appears to retract when the buttons are pressed. At first I was afraid it might break, but it works.

Cloning made easy. I haven't used PC mode, but regular cloning is great. The only thing I want is for the beeping to stop when it's done. It doesn't stop, so keep that in mind.
