Is working! No conversion lag for Wii.

This is the second product I've bought to convert the Wii's component outputs to HDMI as my receiver didn't switch the component outputs (and I only ran 1 HDMI cable from the switching receiver through the wall to mine on of the wall-mounted television ). This one works! (compared to my last Geffen device). My only minor complaint is that the audio input is a headphone jack, not RCA. The component cable you get for the Wii has RCA connectors for audio, so you'll need to use an RCA-to-3.5mmโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Everything OK

save your money Suitable for Video Converter

This product was able to convert component video to HDMI as advertised. But that's all he does. Zoom is not enabled (as far as my TVs have stated). I bought this product to try on my Wii after reading the previous reviews. My Wii doesn't work with this product, period. As soon as I inserted a disc, the product would cause the Wii to overheat, resulting in an error message on the screen. I've tried multiple drives and each has the same result. I just connected my Wii to my TV with a componentโ€ฆ

Wii High Def Must: Video Converter

I bought this to use our Wii without having to use an extra cable to our HDTV. So I hooked this up to an HDMI switch box and we were able to use 1 HDMI input for our TV. Nice detail for wall mounting. The only tricky part is getting the Wii to use the High Def settings before plugging it into the converter. The device is well put together, although the documentation is vague. At the typical cost of this device it wouldn't make much sense for anything other than dedicated use.

Pros
  • Works with component video sources such as Blu-ray TV boxes
Cons
  • It's fine

Doesn't work with my Wii

Bought this converter to connect my Wii via HDMI, not composite or component. I have a wall mounted TV and didn't want to run component cables through the wall when I have a lot of HDMI. Connected my Wii to this converter using component cables. I had to buy a 3.5mm RCA jack to connect the audio. Stupid connection. I have no idea why this product has a 3.5mm audio jack and not red and white. STUPID. Well, it doesn't really matter, because my TV doesn't recognize the connection anyway. Writesโ€ฆ
