Exact OEM replacement for Toro Z Master Z150

What more can I say? It turned out to be the exact OEM part that fits my Toro Z Master Z150. Removed old solenoid valve, plugged in new one and it worked again. Simple operation, easy access and only requires 10 and 11mm wrenches/sockets. Pleased with a $12, 30 minute fix to a problem that started with smoke and burning plastic smell under the seat!

Pros
  • Multiple competitors
Cons
  • All right

Not a genuine Generac part.

This part came up when I was looking for a new solenoid for my Generac alternator. It looked very similar, but when I went to install it, the lugs on my generator wires were larger than the lugs. I adjusted my wires and the part works fine. I just want the search algorithm to only find parts that are fully compatible with the Generac part number.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Protection

good magnet in starters and generators

As far as I can tell Trombetta makes all the solenoids for all their lawnmowers. OEM versions have special fixed terminals/mounts and may have premium contacts or high temperature housings, but these are hard to find as they are made to order for each mower model. Ariens, Gravely, Toro, Sears, etc. This part is a common denominator on the Trombetta model, but it starts my mower, Nuff said.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • vulgarity
