A very good beat for the money when used correctly.

Forstner bits are made for slowly making really nice finished holes, not for ripping wood. They are designed to spin at a few hundred RPM, not thousands, and should not be forced - other reviews complain that the bit will "burn out" or dull quickly, use the bit incorrectly. I just made 174 holes in 1/2" thick MDF with a 2 1/8" drill bit and can't see any difference between the first hole and the last. The vise required a 2 5/16 diameter and 9/16 deep hole. This is a really weird hole, and the fact that it's just a recessed hole and not a through hole makes it even more of a challenge. The reason for this is that Steelex is the only company that makes Forstner bits of this size. The only other option is to use a 2 5/16 hole saw, but it's designed
