Totally useless for drill

I bought this specifically for its size, it was perfect for my project. Unfortunately this model failed to cut anything. The drill's drive tip pulls the Forstner bit very aggressive towards the shank after which everything stalls. It wasn't sharp enough to cut through soft pine. At best it scratched the wood with little to no impact even though I had the speed set correctly. The much cheaper ( albeit smaller) parts from the high street shops were not a problem.

Pros
  • 3-5/8" diameter
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Incredible on power tool parts and accessories

If you've never tried a forstner bit to drill large holes, you should. Compared to a hole saw, that thing is a monster. You have to have the right drill bit for the job (big) and the right angle of attack (straight) but one thing will work, it won't stop until it goes through the stuff you throw at it. Never again be dependent on movement and fatigue. Simply align, press and hold. In particular, this forced FAST to work with multiple supports for pipelines. The investment in a hole saw is…

Pros
  • Adjustable conical screw tip

hoping for the best - BUT.

Not what I expected as another review said the tip of the screw pulls the blades into the wood way too quickly shutting everything off and scratching the wood. I also bought a slightly smaller drill bit from Steelex. It was packaged in a very nice sturdy box - this one didn't have one - it was in a bag which was half torn. The first drill was clean and lightly oiled as expected, while this one was badly scratched. The tip of the smaller drill was not a spiral and I believe it may have been the…
