Power Steering Pump

Bought a power steering pump with reservoir (5478N) fitted on 15th July 2019 and it still makes a whining noise and the steering wheel gets hard when turning.

Quality block good for steering system

Arrived well packaged; looked exactly like my original pump. It looked new, not remodeled, and once installed works great. Driven 3000 km with it, everything is fine, quiet.

If your 3rd Gen 4Runner pump is starting to get noisy, this is a great pump replacement!

My pump was making a lot of unnecessary and annoying noise when cornering at low speed. After a lot of research I found out that the strainer in the tank could get clogged and essentially starve the pump which is causing all this noise. I've tried and tried to clean mine but no matter what, I kept getting noises. Eventually, my pump got so bad that any low-speed spin would mess up the entire steering system.
