Enhance Your Hunting Experience with Steiner Predator Series Hunting Binoculars Review

I bought these because of the name, the quality and the picture quality. Image quality was ok, but expected more from Steiner. I sent them back, they replaced them with a new pair. The new couple are beautiful, which is to be expected from such a great company. Customer service was excellent, friendly and attentive, a pleasure to deal with.

First, it's for hunters. The coating of the lenses is designed exactly for this and makes other lenses matt. The glass is the clearest of any binocular under $1,000. You can't go wrong with German glass. (Yes, Steiner, and still made in Germany from German cut glass). I've used them on the range and had no problem hitting a .270 caliber hole at 100 yards on a white target.

For the second time in a row the factory seal on the box has been broken. Both factory seals on the top and bottom of the box were open the first time, so I went back. The second time only the top filling was removed. I can't help but think that someone opened it up and brought it back OR worse, someone at Revain opened it up for some reason. I mean, why can't they just reseal it? For this reason it gets 1 star. The binoculars themselves are great.

Not the quality I expected from Steiner. No wonder they're on sale! My Athlon Midas G2 UHD binoculars are comparable. Previous Steiner binoculars were of amazing quality. It's not so good. If you're used to roof prisms and/or center focus wheels they will take some getting used to. First, the autofocus works exactly as described. I love these binoculars. I have 95% IPD (eye relief) and most binoculars don't have enough spacing between the eyepieces to get a proper view. These binoculars have enough IPD to provide a good view up to at least 3 inches. It works for a wider IPD but you need to make sure it works for you.
