100 amp circuit breaker has stopped working

Updated June 2021 Circuit breaker has stopped working. The latch didn't disengage on its own, so I used a small screwdriver to pry the chain off. Now the circuit breaker no longer connects the circuit. I plan to replace it with a corporate block. Original Cheaper than the famous branded version. However, the branded version has a larger contact area under the cleat, which seems to offer a much better connection. I'm a bit worried about the 200 amp circuit breaker that the bolt resistance will…

One working, one dead.

I bought two 50 amp versions. One works great, the other happened to be turned off for a while and died just over a year after purchase. The one that works is on the positive path between the solar panels and the charge controller. It conducts a maximum of 20 amps for about 6 hours a day. The other is on the positive path between the charge controller and the batteries. The bank has three lead-acid batteries 12 V 100 Ah. The circuit breaker tripped randomly during the day but never at night…

High quality counterfeit part in switch

I bought a 250 amp circuit breaker and am trying to use a circuit breaker between the battery pack and the inverter. These switches are either fake or a cheap, untested copy of a real marine DC switch. The breaker has a very high series resistance of 1.6mΩ, which means that if 250 amps flow through it (due to 157 watts of power dissipation) it will trip instantly. The calculated trip point at 20 amps DC test current was 33 amps. If designed correctly, the circuit breaker should trip after a few
