Best flytrap? Zapper bat to be precise.

This is about the third bug bat I've owned. This is a great concept, the large area makes it easier to catch flies - I've been looking at fruit flies. The shape of the bat is handy once you get used to it as you can stick it in the corners of kitchen cabinets and windows etc making it harder for flies to get around the bat. Finally, the fact that it runs on C batteries also helps as my previous racquet used AA batteries and they tend to wear out too quickly. The protective grid cuts in both…

Good things don't work in real life

We were delighted to get Stinger electric fly swatters for the boat. The previous owners of our boat swore by it. They said it was very nice to hear the beetle smack when you swung a fly swatter at it. They're made of cheap plastic up to the neck, where a rubber connector adds some flexibility to the rigid construction. There are three metal meshes each separated by yellow rubber, if the bug gets stuck between two of them it will be hit. You must leave the switch on for the current to flow…

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No show

When used correctly. That's great!

Insect control equipment works great when you know how to use it properly. For best results, first try to get the bug to fly into the bat instead of swinging it. You will notice that there is yellow plastic on the racquet. This should be your first clue as to how to use this article. Insects are attracted to yellow. Also pay attention to the square edge, it will help corner the bug and make it fly into the bat. Note the rubberized rim, which is designed to muffle noise when you place the device

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Non-automated
