I'm still learning how to use this paper

I gave 5 stars because although I'm an amateur watercolor artist I'm still learning how to use this black paper, its weight and its density liked. I love still lifes with black backgrounds and will keep experimenting - as long as it's the best I can do for a review.

Pros
  • delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Crumpled

Disappointed

The main downside is how easily the paper tears. I use painters tape to tape the edges of the watercolor (to keep it from puckering) but if the tape comes off the paper tears very easily. Also, only one proper erasure came out. You can't even get the color out. Overall good but could be better. I think it works better with metallic acrylic paints or something less abrasive.

Pros
  • Best in class
Cons
  • Will be added later

wow wow wow AMAZING with metallic watercolors!

I haven't drawn anything yet and will add a photo to the review as soon as I draw. But when this paper arrived the other day, I made color swatches for my Paul Rubens metallic paints. WOW they look amazing! When you first paint on black, some colors don't show up very well. But then after a few moments when the paint has dried, WOW - great! My photos show the palette of my Paul Rubens Metallic paints on this paper and then compared to regular white watercolor paper. Note that while this paper…

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Other interesting options are available.
