🏎️ Superior Performance: StopTech 309.08660 Sport Brake Pads with Shims and Hardware Review

Really good brakes but the ones I have are from 2010, pretty old, a few chips isn't a big deal. But disappointment. Since then, Stoptech has done a lot for brakes. They should be half the price considering how old they are.

So far, these pads have proven their worth in combination with Bosh Premium brake discs. I have a 2008 Dodge Avenger and replaced the rotors once a year for steering warp and vibration during breakdown. No problem so far and braking is much better than your local premium auto parts store.

boy that's an improvement over standard pads. I still had a lot of gaskets on the stock gaskets but they just wouldn't cut them. On the other hand, they worked great. I get a little squeak every now and then, but only when they're cold. Haven't disappeared after several tough sessions in the mountains of Mexico.

Overall good brakes. Once in bed, they make little or no noise until they reach the last third of their lives. Dust isn't that bad, but you'll definitely notice the dust if you brake hard. They work very well in 0 degree weather and are great for spirited summer riding. They may not bite as hard as racing pads, but they're the best compromise. The lifespan is also good.

This is one of the few pads offered for my SUV that is not organic. It's a para-aramid compound that's more like Kevlar. Not quite a metalloid, but definitely better than organic carbon. This means high stopping power and no need to swap out OEM rotors. I would classify this as a vigorous street effort or street performance. I have used these StopTech SPORT pads on a variety of vehicles for many years. They used to be called TRACK pads. About 4 years ago they changed the names so Track became Sport and it took some time for the old inventory with the old names to go away. fit very well, last longer than OEM hybrid ceramic pads.
