Bad: very dusty

Bad: very dusty. A few days and the wheels are dirty. What's good: The braking power is fine. I switched them to another brand after 6 months and the new pads are holding up better. And a lot less dust. Is it worth having a differential in braking performance between these and some other pads that are quieter and less dusty? No - I will not buy them again.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Stoptech is one of the best

I love using Stoptech pavement on all my cars. I used it on my 2003 Nissan Maxima and the stopping power was amazing. I also got Stoptech street pads and slotted rotors for my 2011 Mazda 3. I stop so quickly that I'm afraid of being hit from behind if people drive too close behind me. I will get Stoptech road surfaces for my future cars. too much of.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Significant improvement over stock

I installed these on my 2007 Mazda3 Hatchback and immediately noticed a significant improvement in braking performance. My stock pads were only half worn when I decided to replace them with these because I just didn't feel like my car lasted as well when it was new. I've been installing these pads for about 10 months and am very happy with them. They did a great job all 4 seasons.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Replacement available

Great pedal feel and functionality, rain performance diminishes with age.

This was a good replacement, with the same performance, minimal dust and noise compared to factory pads which were thin at 80,000 miles. Now, with a 130,000km ride, these pads are still thicker, but they started to work very poorly when the brake was first pressed in the rain (they didn't noticeably differ in the rain before). I guess after 50,000 miles on them it shouldn't disappoint. It just doesn't seem right to remove pads with more than half the friction material due to heat cycling orโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Very expensive

Still holds despite torture test. Paper Route

I drive a Paper Route in a 2014 Ford Focus. I ride about 100 miles 365 days a year and go from 40 mph to 0 300+ times a night. I was VERY slow at my job and these guys held up incredibly well. Even when they get hot, the bite doesn't change. They do produce some dust, but EVERY brand I've used has turned my rims black over time. They produce some dust but not as much as the AcDelco pads I've used before. I have tried several brands and different brake materials in this work over the years andโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • weak
