Nice Clean Cut works well for milling machine parts and accessories

I use the smaller 1/4 straight inch shank router bit on mounted router for routing grooves in moldings to make picture frames. This bit had a very nice double groove blade that held up well with my project. Sure, every bit is serviceable (reason for 4 stars for durability), but this one was a lot of fun. I was pleased with the slits and clean cut. Would buy again

Pros
  • ✔ When choosing a straight cutter for any application, always choose the cutter with the shortest cutting edges and shortest overall length to achieve the required depth of cut
Cons
  • Expensive

Bought two (one spare) for a project - both broken

The product cuts perfectly through the material (oak) and of course you can't argue with the price. but broke two bits one evening while milling 1/4" dado. I had another straight 1/4" bit from the bit set that seemed to hold up to the depth and speed I'm cutting. but I have still may cut too much material per pass, bargain a little - don't overdo it or you'll break it.

Pros
  • ✔ Use on CNC and other automatic milling machines, as well as manual and portable desktop milling machines. The open flute design promotes the rapid chip evacuation required for high feed rates.
Cons

I will never go back to my hand drill and forstner bit

I used a hand drill and forstner bit to drill fairly accurately to a depth of 5/8 diameter. I've read that I could do it faster with my plunge router, but the router's high RPM requires a special router bit. I just drilled my first hole with a 5/8" bit - it was quick, easy and of course the perfect depth. I will never use my hand drill and forstner bit for this type of job again. When I use this bait If you can do 18 to 20 holes before it gets boring, that would be a great deal and a huge time…

Pros
  • ✔ Cuts all composites, plywood, hard and soft wood
Cons
  • Was damaged
