📒 Strathmore 300 Series Mixed Media Pad (362-9), 9"x12", 40 Sheets Review

I was disappointed because the paper tore and fell into clumps when I tried to retouch the area. With care, it did the job for me because I was just attending classes. I'm an aspiring artist and used nylon water brushes with Faber Castell watercolor pencils. I don't know if the problem was my inexperience, materials or paper, but given the decent reviews I expected more. I use the Strathmore 300 Side Spiral Binding Acid-Free Medium Weight Mixed Media 5.5" x 8.5" for sketching, painting and quick experimentation with very light watercolors with a small amount off Water. The smoother side texture goes well with my 2mm soft slate mechanical pencil, love the size. The spiral binding means it opens fully or you can fold the used pages and front cover. My sketchbook arrived in perfect condition and on time. This is a great relief as I've heard that ordering sketchbooks from Revain (or online in general) sometimes results in them being damaged during shipping. was really big. I didn't even order the largest size! Now I'm tempted to try somehow. If you like working on a larger but not huge scale then you should definitely get the 9x12 as it's nice and roomy but not too big. It still fits in a regular backpack.
