It may not have many (no) adjustments and doesn't look like the latest under counter footrests but this StrongTek footrest is very solid and angled like it used to be to me. to ensure proper support while working from home all day during the pandemic. And in a world full of plastic and MDF, it's nice to have a product made out of real wood.

Had to move further than I expected to be comfortable. I have knee issues and this has been vital in relieving knee and back pain. Mine likes to slip a bit. Although it leaves no marks on my parquet floor, it still slips. I have dogs that shed. The edges feel sharp on my feet, but I haven't suffered a chip or cut yet. The griptape is ok, barefoot is not very comfortable but bearable. The griptape wears out the socks quickly.

I really underestimated this footstool based on the very few reviews compared to others. However, I am very happy with my purchase. It is very well made and well packaged. It stays put on my office vinyl floor and the corner is perfectly placed so I have no regrets about not having an adjustable footrest. The point is, it works!

My work hours are increasing and I've noticed that I sometimes get fluid buildup in an ankle. I know I sit too much and in a week I'll get Varidesc. But sometimes I sit and prefer to pull my legs up rather than put them on the floor. I have an adjustable footrest when I'm sitting. It's so well done! And very comfortable to rest your feet. Nice footrest, but I didn't take into account that the "non-slip" surface actually has a sandpaper-like texture. I'm sure my socks will wear out quicker and will be uncomfortable barefoot in them. If you only use it with shoes it's only a plus for the anti-slip effect, but this is advertised for home use and how many people actually wear shoes while sitting at home? Although I would say that it can still be used and you can also wear slippers and that will also solve the problem.

This is the second StrongTek footrest I have bought. I put them under the sewing machine tables. The thread keeps my pedal from slipping. I don't have to keep looking for the pedal. My Juki Sewing Medal automatically cuts the threads when I press the pedal with my heel. I don't like doing that because I often have to fill up the car. Beautiful and durable. I don't think the pinched part where your feet rest is comfortable for bare feet. Although not too rough for those who aren't as sensitive to rough textures as I am. But it works well with socks or shoes to keep your feet from slipping. I don't want it to be a smooth surface so it's not a downside but maybe something to consider if you plan on using it barefoot.
