I usually prefer mechanical pencil sharpeners, but I needed a more portable one. I hesitated because of the cuteness. BUT this thing is amazing. Holds the pencil in place so you can twist the handle to sharpen. This thing is fast and gives pencils and crayons the sharpest point ever! Love it!

I like that the pen is held when you turn the handle (only in one direction, in the other direction it spits out). It can be sharpened very well and leaves the pencil tip smooth, not rough and splintered. A fingernail is required to open the drawer, so it's a bit difficult until you get used to it, but not too bad. All in all a great product. Fun and perfect for my third grader who is going virtual this year.

I have an x-acto vacuum cap sharpener. It's good, but it doesn't quite match my current desk. I've searched all over Revain for a crank sharpener that doesn't have a vacuum seal and doesn't require wall mounting. I stumbled across this little guy.
