Heavy and slow to work with

Avoid them: They are heavy, difficult and slow to open with a central bolt. It's also difficult to return, you have to pay the postage if you want to return, and it's not worth the cost. So if you don't like them, you're stuck.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Some little things

Fast, powerful and easy

When I first compared these wheel chocks I had a hard time getting to grips with the rubber coating, it turned out to be a very ergonomic positioning handle. Now I'm glad I bought them, they hold up well, easy to install, quick to install and solid.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad

Made our trailer more stable

Works as expected. Easy to use, but it takes time to turn the nut with a wrench. There was a burr on the edge of the key that came with it that cut my hand, but I was able to remove it so this shouldn't be a problem in the future. In general very satisfied.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Look elsewhere. fits immobilizer and wheel chocks

As other reviewers have said the wrench that was included was removed when I first used them so I had the chicks installed and no wrench to remove them. A large crescent wrench or possibly channel blockers will do the job. I drive into town to get 1" and 1 1/8" open end wrenches to see which one fits so I can still use them.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Some issues

Wrong size claim: Garage & Shop

They're clearly saying they're going to go from 1 3/8 to 12, but as you can see they're not even close. 2 inches is just enough to hit both tire treads on my fifth wheel where 1 3/8 (more than half an inch) would fit with no problem. Seems solid, cannot confirm durability or performance due to incorrect sizing making them unusable in my application. Will return.

  • It's fine!

Ideal for building a robust mobile home.

Thought I'd only need them on rough terrain or slopes. Bought and not used for a while. But I saw a video on YouTube where someone mentioned that it reduces the RV's wobble when moving inside. So I used it on our recent trip and it made a huge difference! This will prevent the tires from moving back and forth slightly when you step inside. This made the whole camper feel much stronger. And the security of these pads is unbeatable.

Installs quickly and holds securely

Using the included wrench to extend or retract the X-Pads has worked great when installing the pads between the tires on my tandem axles. When it came time to remove the "X" pads, the included wrench was useless. When attempting to loosen the pads, the wrench failed to tighten the nut. The edges of the nuts are rounded, which leads to unwinding of the key. I had to use a few channel locks to remove the installed X-Pads. I will say the pads spread out really well to fit in place and retract…

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Reliable pads. Best in Category Immobilizers & Wheel Chocks

Locking up your RV or any trailer is essential and these devices can easily get the job done. Once installed, very little setup is required to uninstall and then reinstall them - or - if space is needed, they can be collapsed entirely. If it is not fully rolled up, it only takes 30 seconds per side to install. After installation, the wheels don't spin - period. The plastic-coated knob is also a nice touch to keep the device in place during the regulator's tight timing. I was unfortunate enough…

Could have been a good choice instead of X-Chocks but no. Returned.

So my X-chocks were finally old enough to be replaced. I noticed them and thought why not try them. The FIRST time I installed one of these, here's what happened: First, as soon as the assembly started to cure, the keys that came with it bent. I'm talking about less torque than installing a spark plug (mostly by hand). The jaws of the flat, thin key (big surprise) unrolled. So I found a 1 1/8" open end wrench (luckily I had one and it's not 1" as the description says) and immediately knew I…
