Sunlite Seat Clamp Bolt Review

The name speaks for itself. Just make sure you measure the width and make sure your frame has a flange cutout that will prevent the bolt from turning when using the hex key on the right side. Again, this is exactly what I needed.

I bought the 19mm to replace the mounting bolt on my Jamis Renegade. It fits perfectly and works very well for the three weeks I've been using. I take the saddle off to put the bike in the car a few times a week, so the mounting bolt is often loosened and tightened.

22mm is the size listed. only 8mm total threads, which means that when I reach my 22mm internal dimension, the screws fall apart. Expensive, useless screw for now.

Recently bought an old Schwinn Le Tour 10 Speed and fixed it up a bit for a reliable ride. The bike came with a quick release seatpost bolt. You know, the ones on a quick release axle? Anyway I bought these bolts and to be honest I'm very happy with this product for the price. Nice finish, not too shiny and hard enough to get the job done. I tightened it pretty tight and it didn't tear.

Works and definitely better than the poor quality one I had on my bike which, despite being well lubricated, sheared off with relatively little tension (Make sure to lubricate the threads these and similar screws that tighten well.). But in the dead of New England winter, when salty mud flies around, rust appears on it. Not so great. Not really a big deal, just need to put some protective T-9 on along with many other parts of my bike.

This is a great hex seatpost bolt. It's well made, the chrome finish is shiny and won't chip.
