May be puncture resistant, valve stem separate from tube.

I ride a hybrid bike on paved roads. Got a flat tire, replaced the tube with this one I had as a spare. It is a durable hose that can resist punctures. I rode this tube about 35 miles a total of 3 times and it broke. pump it up Pulling out the phone, it's clear why. The valve stem has come loose from the tube. Now I'm frustrated, have bought 2 more tubes from this manufacturer: another in this size and one for my mountain bike.

Pros
  • Good product for the price

  • Small things

50 percent failure from the box, wrong size

I bought two whistles because the quality of the whistles has been very bad lately. about two pounds per square inch. The stem to chamber connection was not sealed. The second camera worked perfectly. Also the inner tubes don't seem to be sized correctly, both inner tubes were physically the same circumference size as the inner tube for the skinnier tire I had. So wrong size on packaging and tube. Rod is defective. It might be worth thinking about. I've given up and will only buy two tubes when

Sunlite tubes defective

Niagara Cycle Works is a great company and a pleasure to work with. I received an inner tube with a damaged valve stem. No hassel, two emails and a photo of the damage, a week later another came. The tubes are great. They're a little heavy, but I think it's worth the tradeoff next time I can get some air and not have to worry about the hose popping out or puncturing it. These tubes are broken and I feel like I've been ripped off. The valve-hose connection breaks too easily. I've had three of…

not suitable buy the same brand from another seller

First of all it looks like the boxes have already been opened and sent back. The second Bike World USA deducts the shipping cost and I'm sure the handling cost of returning these seemingly pre-opened products is unknown. I will find out the shipping cost after they return the defective item. I doubt they will fit even the largest recommended tires. I will definitely avoid shopping in the US cycling world now that I know they don't stand for the crap they sell. Of at least a dozen of these hoses

Manufacturing faults are apparently still common

I was reluctant to buy these after seeing several reviews that said tires would fail simply because the valve stem separates from the rest of the tyre, but another Reviewer pointed out that these reviews are many years old and these manufacturing issues may have been resolved. I bought a pair as whistles were cheap and I live in Arizona with a lot of spikes. Unfortunately, it looks like the cameras are still poorly made. Two days later (I drive about 5 miles a day to and from work) the seal…

Expensive bike junk

Like many others I've had mixed success with anti-spike hoses (probably all Sunlite) over the years. All failures occurred during the separation of the stem from the tube. The most recent incident was this morning when I discovered a two month old inner tube that completely blew out a tire. I have requested a refund from Revain. At least the glitches are obvious before driving and never happened while driving. I've tried not using the nut that holds the stem to the rim, but apparently that…

Poor valve design leads to plates. These are very bad tubes.

I have two of these fitted to my gravel bike. I have to say that I have never had a flat tire with these tires. This is unfortunately due to the fact that after about 5 hours of driving, only three trips, the valve stem area in the rear tire failed. I was about a mile from my third ride when the tire suddenly went flat. No warnings, just normal driving on a flat road for a second or two. The area around the valve stem has clearly separated from the pipe resulting in a very large unrecoverable…

Brand to Avoid: Tires & Tubes

I live in Colorado and use thorn resistant tubing in my bikes due to the presence of the ubiquitous thorny invasive weed. You were salvation. I used to buy them from Performance Bicycle and never had a problem - and rarely had to replace them - but Performance has closed all of its stores. I bought Revain Sunlite tubes last year and installed them front and rear on three different bikes. When I tried to inflate them this spring, every tube was useless. The Presta valve stem has cracked and has…
