Strong toys are good for birds

When Charlie my parrot saw this toy, he immediately walked up to it and started chewing. There are many softwood balls on the bow for him to play with and he will move from one place to another. The tree snaps easily, satisfying Charlie's need to chew. In addition, the toy will last longer due to its durable construction. I would take this toy again.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Hard to say

Good toy for small birds

I bought this toy for a white-bellied caikh, which is larger than cockatiels. If he were an "active chewer," this toy would be destroyed in less than a day. That doesn't mean it's an ugly, well-made toy. This is a great toy for parrots, finches and possibly cockatiels but if you have a larger bird I would opt for a more durable toy.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • slightly wrinkled

Corell loves this little toy

My Corell really enjoyed this colorful toy. She chewed most of these up in about 3 weeks which I think is a pretty good investment and I will definitely be buying more to have on hand. I took off the two little willow balls she wasn't chewing and now she's playing with them like foot toys. Nice little toy!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Some flaws

My bird loves this toy!

One of my cockatiels is very picky about toys. Usually they are too big and scare her. She loves this one. This is my third. Be sure to take more than one as she usually chews it up completely within a week or so. My other birds who love big toys are very destructive and were gone in one day.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes

Disappointed - Birds

Funny shape. But the balls are very thin. I found my parrots were chewing and looked like they were about to eat a strand. The balls are much thinner and more brittle than other rattan bird toys I've used. My bird loves bells so he was intrigued to have three. The bells at the end swing easily on the human wire. I replaced the thin balls with larger, stronger rattan balls.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Small details

The parrots loved it. Mama didn't exist

My budgies love this chew toy but I don't really like it. I have 4 parrots, eaten in 2 days. Toys are expensive and should last longer with wood chips and other things to chew on. Also, they immediately pulled the balls out and they fell on the bottom of the cage where I had to clean them. So about 1/3 of the little balls they like to chew on has been wasted.

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • Only available in black

I have a destructive chewer and he LOVES this toy - he took it apart in a few days (if you have destructive chewing, that's a compliment) and got defensive when I tried the bells to remove and a metal wire on which were wicker balls. It was his favorite and I will definitely buy it again. Very interesting for small parrots (too small for the gray parrot) with destructive chewing problems.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

the birds liked it but destroyed it in two (2) days.

My fanatical lovebirds loved it but they shredded one side in 24 hours and then the other side in the next 24 hours. They had colored beaks to show their chewing - they came home and the remains of the last bullet were green/peacock colored and their beaks were outlined in that color. I most likely made it too accessible ie. alone and make them work for it by clinging to the edge of the cage instead of sitting and chewing on the perch.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Packaging is ugly
