Technically it should work. It consists of very brittle fibers and is dirty. The item description doesn't lie, you need gloves. Use eye protection while on it. I used brand names that were elegant and user-friendly. If you're working on a project that you want to look good and be a little easier to use, spend a few bucks more. Consider returning it.

Great for the price. ONLY WEAR GLOVES! There's a lot of fiberglass in there. And it will leave you very itchy for a few days. I wrapped the charge air pipe which is very close to my manifold. I sprayed glue spray on the tube and the back of the wrapper to hold it in place. The clips that come with the kit are a little tricky to use. I ended up using stainless steel wire and a good pair of pliers.

The wrapping covered my generator's flexible exhaust pipe and it seems to be working well, but I didn't realize that when I wrapped the pipe I was covered in tiny bits of fiberglass which made me itchy and felt like this after several days of using needles would have been sheathed.
