Nothing for ducks and geese?

According to the description, it is suitable for ducks and geese. It came today and the instructions say it's not for ducks and geese. I don't have time to backorder so shit I'm not thrilled about it

Pros
  • Sequins
Cons
  • Protection

Make no mistake

Great product. Works great and is very easy to clean. Make sure you move head to foot and not the other way around or you will ruin the bird's skin by driving feathers into the skin. Also, be prepared for feathers to be everywhere.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Nothing

Not terrible but really messy

You need to make sure the turkey is well heated for this to work well BUT it makes a big mess. You'll have to decide whether to get the feathers yourself or clean up a big mess. Just a note, wet feathers are NOT clean and that smell lingers in your nostrils even more than usual.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • I'll add later

Let the feathers fly!

Bought to deal with ducks and the feathers flew off easily! It turned out to be a bit larger than I expected and I had to manually pluck some parts of the mallard which were hard to come by due to the size. Pekings were easier to get hold of as they are larger birds. Soon it will be very useful for turkeys too!

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Great for me in kitchen and dining room

I've been waiting all year to review this item. I love it. If you are looking for the same results as drum tweezers then this is not for you. But it sticks. I used a Master Mechanis electric drill for this and it was difficult at first. Once you've evaluated your distance from the chicken and the speed that works best, you have a great tool. Thanks very much!

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Some little things

Not strong or heavy at all.

This expensive thing turned out to be cheap and useless. On first use, the rod detached from the can. The metal is thin and not strong at all. I don't see how I can contact the seller for a refund without sending it back. We're trying to change it to make it work today as we can't disable processing. Hopefully we can get it working, but for future buyers, beware. It's thin and not durable at all.

Works best in kitchenware and gadgets

We bought this and processed 8 Cornish Crosses. It worked great and was pretty easy to learn how to use. It took about 3 minutes to pluck our large chicks, some weighing 8.5 pounds. It's messy as hell, so you can think of a way to catch the feathers when they come loose. Next time I'll probably build a cage to bypass the plucking station. But for the few we had, it was perfect.

It's worth the investment, but it takes some practice.

I used this plucking machine for the first time when handling chicks. I helped with it as a child, but never did it myself. My husband and I wanted to do something simpler than hand plucking but didn't want to invest in a massive barrel plucking for only 5 birds. So we bought that. Overall my experience was pretty good. Pros: - It seems well made and fit for the job. - Can be easily used by two people, one works with a drill and the other rotates the bird - almost all feathers can disappear in…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Compatibility
