NOT for Ford F150

I fitted them on my 99 F150. they did NOT fit properly. I had to get them working. As you can see they are NOT the same as in the photo. probably the WRONG part to start with. It is also VERY CHEAP QUALITY. even LOCK WASHER - junk. Save yourself some time and MONEY. DO NOT BUY THESE.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Difficult to set up and trailer and tractor share the load evenly

Easy to install with Ford F150 adapter. The problem lies in correctly adjusting the load distribution on the brakes in order to tow the car. A 5000 lb towed camper trailer when properly stopped was causing excessive judder when reversing. Lowered for backup, and while driving you could feel that the towing vehicle had an increased responsibility for braking.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Poor instructions

Works great but features are not up to standard

As they cost less than a new pair of shock absorbers for my car I fitted them instead. I then drove the 30ft RV for a thousand miles and had no sag or jump. The hardware that came with the kit is flimsy, so I decided to buy new U-bolts for it at the parts store. It was difficult to tighten them evenly so they come out straight. Other than that, this is a great product.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • So far so good

while it works fine. My transporter no longer works.

Kit installed yesterday, drove my van all day so far so good. The only reason I didn't give it a 5* is because as everyone says the U-brackets were a bit flimsy and you have to fiddle with them a bit with Mickey's mouse to install them. But it wasn't that bad, it took me about 1 hour to put them both on and I spend most of my time looking for my tools haha.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Damaged

It is great. I installed some

It's great. I've installed a few and it's a great inexpensive option for a sagging rear end. The hardware is cheap and you can replace the u-bolt with an exhaust yoke if you want, but I haven't had any rust or scrap yet. The only downside is that it can make your car look a little more like a dump truck than it used to, but it's tolerable and no worse than bumping into bumpers on a bumpy road!

They work!..takes some effort

Rated 4 stars due to some difficulty with the mounting brackets. I understand vehicles are different and installation procedures will vary. However, the hardware package was useless aside from the spring bases that the rings rest on. I removed my lower bumpers and bent the suspension until it snapped under the frame and welded the bases over my axle. The weight of the vehicle (08 Colorado Z71) and the location of the springs make them almost impossible to loosen. However, I will say after all…

READ THIS before you buy these assist springs

These over the axle assist coils seem like a good idea but after installing a 92 g20 in my van I found them to be springy and now, annoying when the van hits the ground with compressed springs. Everything was fine at first as they lifted the sagging bed of my overloaded van. Then a few days later, on my first drive down one of our bumpier freeways, I ran over a couple of bumps that caused the van to tip over in a series of 3 bumps that knocked the passenger side spring right off the axle…

  • Decent performance

  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

POOR quality - helpers

They fit my 1997 Chevy S10. It's amazing how poor the quality of the product is. The screws you use to attach the lower parts that sit on the axle are junk. I REALLY broke the bolts in half by tightening them with two box end wrenches. I had to run to the hardware store to buy "real" bolts that included grade 8 lock washers and nuts. The originals don't even have a rating. So-called U-clamps? Nothing more than bad exhaust clamps; that's all they are. One broke and the spring spat out, nearly…
