Review on Engine Optimization Spring Assist by Tyrone Lyons

POOR quality - helpers

They fit my 1997 Chevy S10. It's amazing how poor the quality of the product is. The screws you use to attach the lower parts that sit on the axle are junk. I REALLY broke the bolts in half by tightening them with two box end wrenches. I had to run to the hardware store to buy "real" bolts that included grade 8 lock washers and nuts. The originals don't even have a rating. So-called U-clamps? Nothing more than bad exhaust clamps; that's all they are. One broke and the spring spat out, nearly pinning the car behind me. I stopped, found it and threw it in the back of a truck; then he pulled out the jack and removed another. I went to the exhaust store; Yes indeed, and bought "high quality" exhaust clamps that are used on buses. Have reinstalled them so far, they're still there. If they cost less than 30.00; BUT nuts and bolts, including quality types and clamps, don't cost that much. My advice is to replace the original screws and clamps BEFORE installing this item. Even better, I'm considering welding a spring mount to the top of the axle. this is a joke I installed a spring where the bump stop is in the top end and again a bottom spring with a bracket that sits on the axle. I lifted the entire back of the truck by the frame; off axis; You want it to hang down. You can leave the wheels in place if you have space, or take them off. ALWAYS block the front wheels to prevent them from rolling and ALWAYS use the jack stands. kills you
