I bought these for my 2016 Silverado Crew Cab as I started towing a heavy trailer. It does exactly what I need. This helps carry some of the weight so the rear doesn't sag when hitching a heavy trailer. In addition, this does not affect smooth running without an additional load, since they do not touch the axle under normal loads. Simple design, easy installation. Genius.

I have a Chevy Silverado 1500. I installed a front alignment kit which means any weight in the body falls to the rear. I don't want that and I don't want to pay for airbags. That was my decision.
