Perfect for Honda CRV and easy to install (roughly equivalent to replacing wiper blades). Durability is TBD and I will update this review if the quality is below my expectations.

My 2007 Honda CR-V tailgate won't stay up. My son uses the car during college so I sent them directly to him. He had never installed any shelves before. It took every 5 minutes and they work great.

These racks fit perfectly on the tailgate of my 2007 Honda CRV and took less than five minutes to install. I now have a tailgate that lifts easily and stays open when loading. The dealer or shop will charge you 3 to 4 times more to have these racks shipped and installed, which you can easily do by just using a flathead screwdriver to pry off the retaining clips on each end of the old rack. The package arrived in 3 days, well packaged - no scratches, no bent materials. There were no written instructions included, just a small diagram. The struts are very springy and fit my 2010 Honda CR-V perfectly. A great way to save hundreds on labor and materials is to go to a dealer. Although I didn't have written instructions, I was able to see what to do on the diagram and replace both racks in 10-15 minutes.
