Great value for money but check the calibration.

Good display, big letters, nice case. Excellent price. Now the cons. No instructions or power cord. Requires 5V DC for USB power to work properly. I had the correct polarity on the power connector (red plus, black minus), contrary to the experiences of some other reviewers. The only major issue is that channel 2 works fine [ice bath = 34F, boiling water = 214F], but channel 1 is far from being calibrated for the included sensor [ice bath = 18F, boiling water = 184F ]. Channel 1 for anotherโ€ฆ

Finally a temperature sensor without a clock!

Works great! I powered it with a cheap 12V power supply (Etekcity GD-001). The connecting wires were correctly aligned (red + and black -) so they seem to have solved this problem. If you carefully open the back, you will see 4 DIP switches that you can use to customize the display. You must be online to view installation information. It was set up the way I wanted it when I got it. #1 on, #2 off to display in F, #3 on, #4 off. to display the temperature readings from channel 1. The blueโ€ฆ

Works perfectly! I'm not sure about the probe.

Very satisfied so far. I use this to control the temperature of my pool. I installed it in a small project box and tried to make it waterproof by sealing the plastic shade with silicone caulk. I also sealed the device in a box for the project. At first I used a 9 volt battery, but after a few days it was already dead. It's my own fault and I didn't think of a 9v mAh battery (the device draws about 35mA). Would suggest some sort of power supply or rechargeable battery/solar system as someoneโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
