Good Needle: Knitting and Crocheting

Nice long strong needle needed for a stuffed animal project that required the needle to be passed through his body to the other side. I couldn't do it with a regular tapestry needle, this worked great.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Excellent needle for tapestry and weaving!

Excellent needle for weaving! I needed a 5 inch crochet hook and this is one of the best I've found! Not only was delivery fast; but the product is great. The needle is durable and has withstood use. No complaints, great if you need to add a tapestry/weaving needle to your craft tool kit!

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • poorly thought out

I recommend it.

Very handy for weaving blankets, these needles are also great for adding amigurumi features as they are long enough to go through heads and hide the ends of the threads deep inside. They're sharp enough to quickly tackle a variety of yarn project needs, but not so sharp as to cause injury. I recommend it.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

Prefer other Swedish/khak needles

This needle was recommended as 'essential' for making Swedish/khak Afghan polos from monastic fabrics. While its length saves some time when sewing long patterns, I find the head size is too big for swimmers. It works, but not smoothly. I prefer the smaller tapestry needle that I use.

Pros
  • One year trial version
Cons
  • Available in white only

Best for refinishing hand knitting

My first Susan Bates weaving needle was purchased in 1998 and has never been lost in all the years that followed, despite cross country travel, numerous vacations and my own forgetfulness. That said, it was never lost until early 2012. I tried to find it between the seat cushions with a magnet attached to the end of a stick, I was so desperate. Since it didn't show up, I ordered two more - one for my travel bag and one for home. Then the first one showed up, so there were three, and then…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • threadbare
