The hook on this knitting tool is much wider than I'm used to. For the projects I do I need to knit tightly with no gaps. The extra width doesn't work. The two hooks in the photo are both L. The darker hook has a nice narrow rounded hook. The lighter one I just got is flatter and wider. This is disappointing. Others might like it, but I don't.

I am wary of them. I have used and loved Susan Bates hooks my entire time crocheting and have never had a problem. However, that got me thinking. I bought 4 different sizes and they all had the same problem. The Susan Bates hooks I use do not have bamboo handles and are different from them. I am an avid, experienced knitter. I'm used to using regular cheap aluminum hooks you can find in stores. My hands get tired and I get cramps when I crochet. I bought several of these in different sizes - the bamboo handles are amazing! They take the heat off my hand and reflect it back so my hands don't hurt.
