Non-adaptive EDID for external components

Adaptive EDID devices cause both computers to always behave as if they are always connected to a monitor, but only one is displayed. However, with this switch, only the selected computer sees the connection to the monitor, so switching between computers is the same as connecting and disconnecting the monitor to the appropriate computer. Works as advertised

I'm using this with a 2012 Mac Mini and a custom gaming PC build. I no longer have to pull the computer forward to disconnect and reconnect my mouse, keyboard, HDMI cable, and Yeti microphone. The box is smaller than I expected which works great. I taped it under one of my desk shelves with plastic tape and it works great. The switch is practical, all cable outlets match the cables and the supplied USB cables make a stable impression. If you have any doubts about this article, don't. Honestly…

Works but poor build quality.

This is the second KVM switch I'm trying, had to return the first one as it didn't support my 4k monitor. This one excelled in this aspect, I had no problem managing my 4k monitor. However, I sent it back as the build quality is not up to scratch. The USB port became damaged very quickly and two of the three ports stopped working very soon. I've never seen a USB port get damaged (the plastic tab that acts as a guide became very loose and the connection wasn't strong as a result).

Supports 60Hz, works with Macbook Pro 2020

I have another switch that supports 30Hz and works fine with older Macbook models. But I recently got myself a Macbook Pro 2020 and to my surprise found that my existing switch doesn't work with it - the monitor only shows "OK" for a few seconds and then turns completely green. Thought it was a flash rate discrepancy decided to try this one which supports 60hz and am glad to know it works! Now I can switch between the latest Macbook and the portable PC. Great compact KVM, nice features

This is a great little box, compact and with all the cables I need. One feature I love is that it comes with a wired remote switch to toggle displays. I was able to install KVM behind my monitors and then place a button next to the mouse for easy switching. My only major complaint (lost a star) was the only reason I chose this one. Switching keyboard shortcuts doesn't work. It's supposed to press CTRL-CTRL-(1/2) or SCRLK-SCRLK-(1/2) to switch monitors, but that function doesn't seem to work for

Overall excellent but a bit unstable

In general, the device is excellent. The material quality of the device itself is good. Cons: - However, the included USB cables are cheap, especially the PC end of the cable (feels dangling). - Sometimes the device crashes and switches from one device to another. I've noticed that this happens randomly when I press SHIFT + ENTER or CTRL + ENTER (I thought it was a hotkey but it's not). Not too often, but it's very annoying when it happens. - There is also the known error "USB not recognized"…
