DOESN'T WORK!: Filtration

This syringe filter will not work. I've tried different water samples and even deionized water. Nothing will penetrate but air. The description indicates hydrophobicity or hydrophilicity. Definitely HYDROPHOBIC.

Pros
  • Lab Filter
Cons
  • Available in Black only

non-sterile. Dirty package.

Item received. The package looks like it's been in someone's tool box for a year. It was supposed to be sterile, and one of the filters pierced the packaging. As a result, they are unsterile and cannot be used.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Crumpled

Liquid culture syringe filters

I use these gas exchange syringe filters when preparing liquid culture for growing edible mushrooms. Facilitates instillation into crucible lids and can be used several times during sterilization.

Pros
  • Syringe filters
Cons
  • New competitors emerged
