Slightly misleading

I bought this thinking it was her rubber band. Sigh. It is not. But I will use it anyway. It's just a wider version of regular duct tape but with a split seam and paper backing.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • disappears

Very easy to use and works great.

It was very useful and durable to make a watertight seal, it was very easy to use, didn't need to be unrolled and I was able to adjust it easily. I plan on keeping some of them all the time.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • A few little things

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy installation in cold weather.

I installed this one day when it was humid and about 50 degrees Fahrenheit. I thought the lower temperature would affect stickiness, but that's not the case. He was stuck like crazy. No problem. Easy to clean and install.

Pros
  • Pretty package
Cons
  • Old model

no removable substrate suitable for flashing

Excellent product as flashing. It sticks well, especially when rolled up as recommended. But the one-piece paper backing made installing this latch significantly more difficult. It's hard to find a list that shows back the current slot.

Pros
  • inspires confidence
Cons
  • communication with seller

Exactly as stated

Bought 2 rolls on my first order. Then 2 rolls. Delivered the next day. I have sewn 12 windows so far. Used with HydroGap home foil. Excellent adhesion. I recommend a ride. On very flat smooth surfaces it tends to blow (trap air bubbles) so care must be taken when rolling.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Everything OK

Great Flashing Tape

This is a flashing tape to use. It's very sticky and once you apply the roller to it, it takes a lot of effort to come off. I ran out before the job was done and bought a cheaper flashing tape because I could buy it locally. It wasn't worth it. Took the cheaper stuff and waited for the "good stuff" to arrive to complete the project.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Unreliable

Thick, sticky, durable

Really great product. There are many similar products out there though, if you've ever seen a Matt Reisingler video you'd be amazed too. I'm glad I chose Zip as it exceeded my expectations. Thickness was a factor when deciding what would work best. It was really a good thickness. Great product and sticky I must say. Remember to use the Aj roll for best results, but it works great without it too.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Easily wrinkled

From old stock Revain

Probably a great sewing tape but from old stock Revain Prime. New stock Huber Zip Flashing Tape 6 inches and larger has split lines for ease of application. The tape I received did not have a split backing (backing) and the adhesive partially stuck to the backing (indicates old stock). If ease of installation is important and you have a local supplier, it might be worth a trip to make sure you get new stock and a split liner.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Useless features
