Does not fit Mercury Pro XS

I bought a 2020 Tracker V-19 Targa and it does not fit me. I have a 200 Pro XS. I've learned the hard way if someone has the same install it won't work. Get something different.

Pros
  • Excellent overall specifications
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Perfect for towing

Used on the Suzuki 200AP puts the engine in the perfect position for road driving. I think it's better to have two supports than one. Your installation becomes part of the boot cycle.

Pros
  • Have fun
Cons
  • I will add later

Does not fit OMC/Johnson/Evinrude

Does not fit my 1996 Johnson 200 so I am returning it. Even if it were, I can't really say it's any better than using a 4x4 block, although the block definitely looks more rustic.

Pros
  • handy
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Terrible design when boating and sailing

Terrible design. The plastic ring on the outside of the wand burned off the first time it was used. Has wedged itself in the pocket where the aiming post goes. This is for a 1999 Yamaha Vmax 225Plus, the grease fitting is on the right hand side, not the left hand side. Be sure to buy MY Wedge now.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Not everything fits

hmm it works: Boating

I have a 2018 Yamaha 200 and yes it doesn't fit perfectly but it works. I take it, slide it just above the port piston (there's another one available as a spare) and start trimming the motor as it gets closer, then push the strut onto the motor and then trim it. You'll have to play with when you pick it up as it will stick together if it's too soon and chip the plastic if it's not at all.

Pros
  • Best in Niche
Cons
  • Zero

Worked from Florida to New York. Then the tough New York streets.

Update: The roads in New York are the worst. Now the parts are missing. Left one for the trip back to Florida. If Yamaha took both at the same time it would be perfect! I want the mod version to avoid the yam oiler. I have a Yamaha F200 so due to the oil can on the go I was only able to use a stik as directed. Despite the SC and PA bouncing around and hitting potholes in the roads, the Stik did a great job! Now only 1300 back to Florida! I am satisfied with the performance of this product.

Pros
  • Great Construction

Yamaha 2008 2-stroke engine.

Will not work on a 2008 Yamaha two-stroke as purchased. If you have a bit of common sense, all you have to do is take the plastic piece off one end and cut it off a few inches to make it work. Then put the plastic back in and you're good. I also drilled out a rubber butt plug and put it on the trim cylinder shaft to absorb trailer hits and it works like a charm. The rubber runs between the handle and the floor on the cylinder side so it can't come loose when towing. You can cut it to any length

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Can't remember
