Thicker than expected

Reconnected my tent poles after having my Half Dome 2 plus for 6 years. This cable was a lot thicker than the original, but it still worked. Thank goodness it was way more than I needed just in case I screwed up. Very elastic, durable.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Good product at a good price

This cable was an exact replacement for what I replaced. I won't know about durability until I've used it for a while, but it seems as good as a factory shock cord. Good price and ease of use.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • I won't say anything

My Fixed TNF Triarch Tent Like New

This Shock Cord replaces the old and worn out Shock Cords in my NorthFace 3 Season tent. When I was done (after watching some online videos) my tent poles were actually better than the day I bought the tent. This line was much stronger than the original line. Highly recommended. good price too.

Pros
  • Hands Free Operation
Cons
  • Exterior

Fixed my tent poles

I have a 20 year old tent with frayed bungee cords. I didn't even know they could be replaced until I looked around. This is exactly what I needed, worked right away and saved my camping tent! The only downside is that I have a ton more than I need right now. OK. Maybe I can fix other people's tent poles too.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Clarity

Lasted a week Best in Equipment

The elastic cord that came with my tent lasted three years before breaking. This material stretched and lost its elasticity in less than two weeks. I replaced all the cables two weeks before camping and when I got to my campsite all the cables had stretched a few inches each. I shortened them and a few days later they stretched again. This cable is junk.

  • Easy Install

Great Shock Cord for Scrog Nets

Love it. Heavy-duty bungee cord with great flexibility. I used this line to make a scrog net - FYI 50ft is a little smaller than a 3ft x 3ft net (6 panels) but you can make 5 panels of the same size. This cable worked perfectly. Even after realizing I was missing the 6 panel netting, I was able to undo and re-tie my knots for 5 panels with no signs of problems/stretching in the cord. This cord is very forgiving. I also really like that it's verified. As I use it as a scrog net in a grow tent it

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Empty

Use this to fix all my outdoor gear!

I bought this to fix the tent poles that won't stretch anymore. It works really great! Like the other reviewers, I had a bit of trouble getting the knotted end into a tube, but if you tie it REALLY tight, the knot is flimsy enough to fit inside a tube. It has excellent stretch and appears to be quite durable. I've also used it to update an aging lanyard on a tent bag. I also found it to be the perfect size and stretch to replace the drawstring on one of my backpacks. My cat ruined the nylonโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Good quality but a bit thick for the size

I found the elasticity of this cord was good and the quality of the sheath was good. However, the size was different compared to the original cord used in my tent poles (also probably 1/8 inch). If there are a number of manufacturer size differences, the original cable was on the thin end and this cable was on the thick end. With those 7mm tent poles that made tying knots more of a problem, they had to be tied very tightly to keep the knots small enough to fit the tent poles, which was aโ€ฆ

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • don't know anymore

Saved my tent - Accessories

I have a Coleman 9' X 7' Highline tent. For those who don't know what it is, it's because I used it before many of you were born. It looks like a Sundome tent. Last time I used it was because the bungee cord in the bars had stretched to the point where I couldn't catch it. Tried to find new racks - to no avail. Then I found this. Coleman tents have a 1/8 inch hole in the poles. It fits perfectly. In nine section (11 foot) racks I ran the cable about 3 feet longer to create tension. In 5 pieceโ€ฆ
