Exactly as described

This product is exactly as described and has made me a very happy teenage girl! I don't like that setter balls are so expensive, but they cost the same everywhere, so it's not really an Amazon claim, it's a manufacturer claim.

Big Ball - Volleyball

Bought for my 12 year old daughter for Christmas, she is a setter. This will do wonders for their learning. She asked for it, so I'm sure she'll be delighted. Excellent quality and received quickly. While editing this review, I bought this ball for my daughter for Christmas, now December 29th, and this ball is losing air. Something is definitely wrong with the valve. I will contact the company today.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel

Suitable for team sport work

My daughter wanted to work on strengthening her fingers. We'll use this ball until she can train. It's heavy enough to help her gain more strength and ensure she uses both hands evenly. If we replace this ball with a regular volleyball, we are a huge difference. Her friend has another weighted volleyball that is hard and hurts her fingers. We like this ball because although it's heavy, its surface is soft and easy to install.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Great for building muscle and endurance

I have a 13 year old daughter who plays high school and club volleyball and also works as a setter. This weighted ball is great for home workouts, helping her build muscle and arm endurance for the setup. Like others I removed a star because the ball is deflated and shows lines/grooves where it is difficult to transport. Not sure why the company doesn't just inflate and ship them so your new ball looks brand new.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Volume

Great product! This small additional weight is ideal for training. My daughter will hit the ball against the wall hundreds of times and exhaust herself, but now during team practice (14U) she can hit the ball all day and much higher than ever before. Recommend this to all young volleyball players even if you are not a setter. This strengthens your fingers, wrists, etc. and is much better than setting up a basketball for practice.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

My Setting son loves it.

Got this ball for my 15 year old son as a Christmas present and he loves it. He is the starting player on his high school JV team and needed a ball to train with that would build his strength and endurance. Both he and I could immediately tell a significant difference in weight between this ball and a standard weighted ball (10 ounces). Slightly heavier for younger teens (13-16 years). My son said his hands hurt after not using the ball for more than 10 minutes. If you are over 18 you can look…

Great for the top players in team sports

This is the perfect training ball. It's just hard enough to set the perfect higher rates. PS - Can we comment on almost every volleyball review? In general, the NFHS, USAV, and NCAA require ball pressures between 4.3 and 4.6 psi. While that number is going down for beach volleyball players, it doesn't matter. As a referee, I have never measured a ball that met the required specifications before a PSI match. Most balls lose pressure. Some balls build pressure when exposed to intense heat. The…

Every player should have this volleyball

I have two daughters who play volleyball. They were recently advised to buy a voice ball to improve their voice skills. I looked around and settled on a Tachikara Weighted Ball. There is quite a noticeable difference in weight between this vball and the regular one. Girls use it almost every day and they like the result. After a month of use, her fingers and hands got a little stronger. The ball itself feels comfortable. In fact, it doesn't seem cheap at all. I'm sure this ball will last for…
