Terrible Towing Rope - Stay Away!

This automotive towing product was absolutely useless. When I tried this rope, it snapped within minutes of towing a small car. The nylon seemed cheap and weak. The only pro is that it was easy to store. However, the cons outweigh any convenience - the rope is unreliable and a waste of money. Save yourself the hassle and invest in a more durable towing product.

Pros
  • Durable and strong nylon material
Cons
  • May fray easily with excessive use

Outdoor use in winter.

We use it to fasten our pool cover for the winter. No problem. We tried to melt the ends of the cut to keep it from unraveling.

Pros
  • Fastener
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Lots of clothesline

I bought this for a project (I'm making a hammock) and ended up returning it thinking it was wrong for the purpose: it was just too flimsy and I'm not sure it has the strength I need to buckle a hammock. I called the company before sending the rope back but they couldn't give me the answer I was looking for: what is the breaking strength in pounds of this rope? That would have helped me before I bought it (yes, I took the risk: I bought without knowing if the rope would fit). Maybe this…
