Was easy to install but I had to find out myself you have to remove the locking handle to install them, no instructions were included.

Part fits perfectly, easy to install. One thing I noticed, the plastic clips holding the bar from the handle were pretty flimsy. I decided to use existing clamps from worn parts, these are better quality clamps.

I replaced them on the tailgate of an 04 Silverado that I bought because my original was stolen. They were worn out and the right side didn't close completely. Bought these and replaced the handle. The tailgate is now lockable and they seem very solid, just like the OEMs.

It was exactly what I needed, fits perfectly and looks better than the factory, time will tell. Make sure to look for the L as it makes a difference ;-) The supplied screws also work, the black ones I got were soft and I snapped them off, but you can use the factory screws instead. Buy yourself some firing pins too, as it will save you time if yours wear out at all.

I replaced the latches on my 2003 Silverado 1500 when I was redesigning part of the tailgate. I am very happy with these locks. To start, you will need to buy a new handle and faceplate when you buy it, as you will most likely break the faceplate on this project. The next thing to note is that the clips came in upside down for me and I had to pull them out and flip them. Most of the time it was an inconvenience, not a real problem.

These latches fit my replacement tailgate perfectly (Silverado 1500 2001) and include two mounting screws on each side and plastic actuator rod brackets already installed. Rubber buffers are similar to the original. The tailgate works smoothly and latches quietly and securely with no subsequent rattling, although I had to adjust the latch bolts on the bodywork to achieve this result. Can't believe I've waited for you so long. Not only did it fit perfectly. Came with the right parts, easy to install, but they also had little rubber bumpers for a snug fit.
