SUPER easy to install if you don't try to decipher the instructions. Same design as everyone else and works great. Upload the video, watch it for 15 seconds and then install it. It took about 5 minutes. Came with 2 long poles, huh? not sure what it is lol

I wish I had installed this tailgate assist sooner. My tailgate no longer slams shut. Installation was pretty easy, but read the instructions completely before you begin. This kit did not include anti-seize lubricant. If you have something handy, it's helpful, but not required.

Due to the bad reviews I was very skeptical about buying this type of product and scared me. This particular instruction was very detailed. Overall, EXTREMELY EASY to install and use. I used these instructions to install another car. I hope that the long term will be as satisfactory as the initial one. Act! If I can, you can do it

Half the price of the original version and probably 1/10th the retail version, it makes life easier. The only thing I complain about is that the cable loosens a bit and every now and then tries to short in the gate. However, I will say that he did this less and less over time, so it may have taken him a while to get used to the new form he needs to be in to roll. I had it on my "list" for 2 years and now I kick myself for not buying it 2 years ago.

The Nucert was not that easy to install and the instructions did not indicate how to fit or how to work with it inside the hole. Like the part needs to be hammered into a hole with a soft mallet or something. I ended up ruining the Nutsert, rendering the back door useless now. There are no specific videos on YouTube for this specific named product. I guess I should have gone with another named slightly more expensive product. Irritated and upset.

Installed on 2018 Ram 1500. Easy to install thanks to high quality parts. A little problem with my set but yours may be different. The cable brace that prevents the safety cable from getting caught behind the brace is too small. Specifically, the shim diameter isn't "thick" enough to actually prevent the cable from moving behind the post. Following the manufacturer's directions for placement 3.5 inches from the top of the cable resulted in the strut and cable getting stuck behind the post. I…

2016 Ram. Now my kids can lower the back door and don't have to slam it shut. Installation was easy. I recommend installing the ball studs and then attaching the damper. Then from there you can slowly close/open and see where to put the cable protector and mylar wrapping. I didn't remove the foam either. i left it The blow leaves its own dent in the foam.
