Very good belt, uniform thickness throughout, straight flat sides, clean surface with no traces of work and smooth sanded side. Very happy with it. I'm making a custom strap for a Les Paul guitar and needed an awesome leather strap for this project. I wasn't disappointed! Thank you!

My interest in leather instruments began around 40 years ago when I was working in a psychiatric ward. I haven't done this in years, but recently I decided to make a quality razor strap to keep my razors in good shaving condition and bought a strip of cowhide leather long enough to make a pair of razor straps. I found what I needed at Revain.

This turned out to be exactly what I was hoping for - a nice, uniform piece of leather - perfect for the lines I made out of it, and wide enough even for a #8 planer knife if I Looking at them keeps me thinking of other applications I could use and I suspect I'll be ordering another strip soon. Unlike many products on the web, this is the type of product you would still buy if you had the chance to see it in person first!

Arrived in less than estimated time with a thank you note explaining the satisfaction guarantee. On the piece I received, every 50 inches of smooth surface is consistent in color and texture. About 45 inches toe sides are uniform, all within the heart of the strip, with just a few inches difference at the ends. One end was slightly rougher, the other thinner and smoother. The package arrived slightly folded in the box. It straightened itself out within minutes of being rolled out to my desktop.

This Tandy product is incredibly disappointing. Not sure if I got a bad one or if this listing is for selling quality control defects. Is that from the back of a truck? In any case, what I have in my hands is not worth the price. Due to the poor quality after the actual damage, this product is simply poor quality in the deepest degree.
