30 minute setup Best in Sport

The front tire was easier to install than the rear tire. Very tight on the 29er. 6 Broken tire levers on driven wheel. There is a technique for that. The tire will be more difficult to bottom out when it is in its final bead position all the way around. You need to squeeze the sides of the bed to achieve some rotational stretch.

difficult to fit good for tires and tubes

this seemed like a good idea for my wife's new e-bike as she could never figure out how to change the rear tube. Installed it on the front wheel after several hard hours with bleeding fingers. After destroying 3 tubes and trying to get on the back wheel I gave up. I just bought some 20mm tubes and will try again when my fingers have healed. It looks like it will work as it can be driven with a flat

Best Tire Start I've Ever Had

These inserts have saved my life several times at the track in just a few weeks. I've had cactus needles, goat head spikes, and sharp rocks cutting into my tires, but no punctures or pipe leaks. It was very easy to install and fits the original hose so I didn't have to look for a smaller size. The tread is very dense and thick, allowing you to ride on rough terrain. safer. The armor also absorbs some of the vibrations, so the ride is smoother. I highly recommend them for Mountain Bikes / Fat…

Great accessory for mountain bike conversion.

I used this on a new 3" 29" hardtail mountain bike converted to medium mount with the tire width increased from 2.25". There's barely enough clearance between the tire and the seatpost tube, but there's no friction or contact. Saved money buying cheap tires and got about 28psi pressure. Excellent traction and stability traversing the tree roots and rock trails of southern Pennsylvania's Pangea. Use steel tire levers and repair rim scratches for easy installation. Or break half of your plastic…

If you love to ride a bike but really don't want a flat tyre.

One caveat: unless you're a professional bike mechanic I would just take the box and bike to a reputable shop and let them do the job. I heard how difficult it is to install them, so I didn't even try. This not only protects against punctures (the tube is housed in a protective sleeve that fits inside the tyre), but also in the unlikely event of a puncture. Flat tire lets you "go straight" to get home as the sleeve provides support. I think it adds a full pound (454g) to the weight of the bike.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Only available in black

Are newbies lucky? for sports

A UPS truck dropped my new Tannus armor while I was driving to visit my 90 year old relatives who grew up on bikes and motorbikes. I took a badly crumpled piece of Styrofoam called Tanius Armor and asked him if he knew what it was. He was intrigued and continued to fiddle with it while we were visiting. When I got up to leave I was surprised to see how round it had become. Wow! I took some of the powder I always use on tires and tubes after freaking out a bit by some of the reviews. I deflated…

1000 Mile View - Sports

I've been waiting to review this because I wanted it to be thoughtful and helpful. This review is done after installation on 2 bikes with over 500 miles on each road bike. I needed a solution, I guess I live in the goat head thorn capital of the world. I would refuse every second trip. I liked them a lot at first, a dozen rides without a puncture. Then deflated 3 of 4 tires over 5 consecutive rides. I contacted the manufacturer as to why this might be happening and initially they responded by…
