🎧 Tascam TH-02 Studio Headphones, Closed Back, Black Review

I've had these headphones for about a year now and they're still holding up. They're great for the price, the sound quality is good and the plastic case has surprisingly stood the test of time and is pretty good in terms of comfort. I bought the large Brainwavz earpads to replace the originals because they were so thin and the earbuds are a little tight to begin with (they loosen up a bit over time). Good headphone at a good price. They sound great and are very comfortable. One of the headphones stopped working after a year and a half. I took it apart and saw that one of the very thin wires had come loose from the solder. It was earphone number 2. In other words, the cable from the plug goes to the earpiece. I call this earbud #1. I have a somewhat small head, but not to the extent that people notice my small head, but to the extent that ordinary sunglasses look odd on my face and make my eyes pop out. These headphones are too big for me even on the lowest setting. The ear cups sit on top of my ears and the bottom of the pods just hang loose without being pressed against my head, completely negating the 'closed' aspect of these headphones. Tascam says they designed these phones for professionals and that seems to be true. They actually have a remarkably sharp and linear response curve that I find even suitable for studio work. I read somewhere that Tascam set out to make a $100 set of headphones for about 1/3 the price and I think they more than nailed it.
