Taylor 3519 TruTemp: Convenient and Accurate Compact Digital Thermometer Pen Style Review

Works great Ordered one before, don't know how but it broke. We wrote to them that they sent a free replacement and we really like it! We temper all of our food!

I've tried many food thermometers and most have had to be thrown in the trash. This is the best to date. It is easy to read, easy to use, easy to replace the battery, easy to clean and store.

We've had these for seven years. When it died I very quickly bought another one from Revain to replace, thinking all thermometers are the same. It went like this for two months. Found this and bought it again. Costs money.

My old one I was at least 16 or 17 maybe a little older eventually broke so I wanted to make sure I got the exact same one because it worked that well! It is fast and always very accurate and handy. I've never changed the battery in all that time!

This is the second one I bought: the last one was about 5 years ago. The last one was great, but I accidentally steamed it for too long. 😏 If you want to steam a thermometer, but analog: I have one of each. Both have their merits, but this is the best digital thermometer I've ever used: I'd happily buy another one.

Poor. I had this for 10 months and suffered from a slow response. I didn't know it was that bad until I saw on YouTube that good thermometers have a 2-3 second response time. I finally tested it today in my sous vide set to 135 degrees Fahrenheit. It took 20 seconds to reach temperature. Forget using it next to a gas burner. It doesn't rotate automatically. And that is a grossly overpriced price for its performance.

This is my second thermometer and I think it's the same model I bought years ago. It works great and lasts. The problem was that the battery was dead and I couldn't find a replacement. The battery compartment was also very difficult to remove. The only thing I would change is a more conventional battery and how it is fitted. I'm giving this 5 stars because while the battery replacement is far from perfect, the original lasted a long time and I have no doubt it will last for many years to come.

This simple little thermostat is more efficient and accurate than any other thermostat I have used. I've used Holiday in food and grilling, but the simple small form factor of this thermostat makes it great. Replacing the battery seems like a hassle so I just bought two more. The fact that you can check the temperature of your food to make sure it's cooked properly and since it's small I can take it on a hike so I don't accidentally eat something undercooked.
