I needed a Yagi-Uda antenna to connect my garage computer to my home wifi. The distance to the WiFi router is 200 feet. This product arrived quickly and all the parts (attached to the boom with rivets) were solid and reliable. For some reason the manufacturer decided to terminate the feeder line with an RP-SMA connector. This can be an issue with most standard extension cords, but since I had to run 30 feet of coax to connect the wireless card, this wasn't an issue. I used a matching adapter…

I connected this with low expectations but... bam. I had a great signal. I hooked up a small $35 Wi-Fi extender so I could plug my camera into a port and now I have a great signal 300 feet from my orbit.

Worked very well. But I had to switch between this antenna and another quite often. He couldn't stand the rough treatment. I'm not sure which part I damaged but now I'm not getting any signal at all. If you just install it and leave it alone, it will probably work great. I'll probably order another one soon. Sometimes I need to use Starbucks or McDonald's Wi-Fi when I'm a few hundred yards away. If that antenna is pointing your way, I usually have a pretty good connection.

Our outdoor bird watch camera had a marginal connection to a WiFi router about 200 feet away and blocked by three walls. We replaced one of the flexible antennas on the bird camera with this Yagi and now the connection is solid.

I bought this antenna hoping to improve WiFi reception. The best I had -71. I measured every 5 degrees. My old Alfa antenna (small square) gives -55 and costs $10. I mean ok I really expected it to be much better.
