Perfect replacement

Perfect replacement for the 8 year old model we had in the pilot who died in 2011. Installed in less than an hour, I also had to replace the 7 pin bracket. Please note: the kit does not include a bracket for installing a 7-pin connector. I went to North Tool and got the generic larger one and it fit perfectly.

Fits perfectly! for Electrics

My Honda Ridgeline is trailer hooked up, but the Sport model requires this kit to connect to the existing wiring. Except for the bracket for attaching the rear connector, all components are in the box. The instructions are more geared towards the Honda Pilot but there is a great video on YouTube to help you out. And everything fits perfectly!

  • Excellent Overall Performance

Worked great on my 2011 Honda Pilot

Found some good installation videos on YouTube and was able to install these on my 2011 Honda Pilot. I pulled my trailer with it, works great. I've never wired anything like this before but didn't want to buy a super expensive kit from Honda so I gave it a try and it was great, I would recommend it to anyone even the slightest bit of comfort, not a bad setup.

EZ install without bumper

Ok, wiring and fuses are very simple. Check out YouTube and there are plenty of videos that do great. Forget the instructions that came with it. The problem of attaching the fitting to the bumper is not ez. I have a 2010 Pilot and ended up modifying it to fit. Everything is fine now, but the instructions and videos I've watched don't match and the installation requires a bit of thought. Your year/model may vary and it may match the design exactly. I would still recommend it but can only give 4…

DIY much cheaper than factory installed

Bought to do it myself on a 2009 Honda Pilot after being offered $300-$400 to do it at a local dealer. We already had a trailer mount installed, but there was no power connection. I was able to watch a tutorial video on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3baLVkGGdA8) showing this kit along with a mounting bracket (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product /) has been used. Great product, not so good instructions.

I just installed this on my 2012 backbone in about 20 minutes! The product itself looks very high quality, almost OEM, and it's nice that you don't have to splice any cables. Everything was very well done harness connector. The instructions are small, but I'll save you time trying to locate the wire harness, fuses, and relays.1. There is a small black box under the dashboard to the right of the steering column. It has a blue band and it's quite high. Simply plug in the box and mount or secure…

Pros
  • There's something to it

  • Annoying
