Tekonsha Brake Control Cable

Excellent product. Did the installation with no problems. The hardest part of using the connector is finding the right part in the car.

Pros
  • Designed to control the brake whose cable connector is built into the back of the unit
Cons
  • Quality

Trailer Accessories Plug and Play

This was the perfect plug and play solution for a 2016 Freightliner chassis under a Thor Tuscany RV in which I installed a Prodigy II brake controller.

Pros
  • Connect the end of the brake control harness to the back of the brake control box and the end of the vehicle to the vehicle connector
Cons
  • The list goes on.

This works but you may need to move the wires in the connector

It fits under my 2003 Freightliner dash but 3 of the 4 wires had to be moved to the connector for it to work. I'm not sure how it could be so wrong from the packaging. But once the wires were moved it made a clean connection.

Pros
  • Plug & Play Brake Control Wiring Adapter
Cons
  • Volume

Plug-n-Play, Easiest Installation

This brings simplicity to a whole new level of brake control installation. It was a really simple plug n play installation. It took me longer to fix the excess wiring than it did to install the brake controller. I used it in conjunction with a Reese brake controller to install trailer brakes on a Berkshire Diesel Pusher RV built on a Freightliner chassis.

Pros
  • Clutch Type & Shaft Type 2PC
Cons
  • Faulty

Don't give up looking for connectors

Really plug and play once you find the right connector on the case. Called Thor first for help finding a fork. They said to look for a blue wire twisted under the dash. After more than an hour of searching, the blue cable was not wound up. Called Thor again and was told to look for a red and white coiled cord with a two pin plug. Found but it doesn't match the Tekonsha tableware. I kept looking and found the appropriate connector hidden behind the dashboard on a plywood strip - almost directly…

Pros
  • Simple and easy to install, no splicing required
Cons
  • I don't remember
