Great controller for the price.

I installed this on my 2016 Silverado before taking our trailer on a long trip. It was a breeze to install yourself (literally less than 5 minutes using the Tekonsha wiring adapter) and it worked right out of the box. I chose this model because of the rice, but also because I can later replace it with one of Tekonsha's inertial controllers. I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. Pros
  • Sturdy easy to install chassis, mounting hardware included
Cons
  • Useless features

Before switching to embedded controllers, we used Tekonsha controllers. I recently moved house and had the opportunity to borrow a 16 inch toy dump truck with trailer brakes. What's good: First of all, I'm really glad I bought it, it did exactly what I needed and helped run a heavier trailer on my 2013 Tacoma V6. (Yes, it has a tow kit.) Since my truck came

Pros
  • 'Ahead' manual hand controls

  • Everything OK
